Alice Bishop Brewer, 95, of Xenia, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016, at Legacy Village. She was born December 22, 1920, in Clay County, Kentucky, the daughter of David and Lucy K. Knuckles Bishop. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, and was a volunteer for many years for "Meals on Wheels" and as an election day poll worker. She is survived by three daughters, Elaine K. (Casey) Conley, Xenia, Kristine J. (Fred) Virgint, Charlotte, NC, and Amy E. (Milan) Nanavati, of New York, NY, a son, David O. (Lee) Brewer, Xenia, seven grandchildren, Chi (Scott) Shackleford, Alexander Brewer, Zachary Brewer, Robert Virgint, Stanley Virgint, Ethan Nanavati, and Elizabeth Nanavati, two great-grandchildren, Isaac Shackleford and Kasen Shackleford, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert B. Brewer, on December 12, 1993, and by ten brothers and sisters. Services will be held at 11am, Saturday, January 16, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Kelley W. Shin officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30am Saturday, until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery, Xenia.
