Alonzo Jones, Jr., 83, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born December 16, 1932, in Daytona, Fla, the son of Alonzo Jones, Sr. and Gladys (Blythe) Jones. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as a supervisory illustrator at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He is survived by: his wife of 32 years, Maxine Jones, Xenia; children, Krista (George) High, Kimberly Dooley, of Atlanta, GA; Tiffany Bailey, Cincinnati; Robyn Logan, Bowie, MD; Larry (Daena) Logan, Silver Springs, MD; Linda Logan, Laurel, MD; 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a brother, Walter (Lorean) Jones, Xenia; several cousins, nieces, and nephews, in-laws, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Claudette Jones, in 1977; a daughter, Teresa Jones, and by three sisters, Winlon, Mildred, and Dorothy. Alonzo will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, November 9, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Tuesday, both services at the Faith Community United Methodist Church, 100 Country Club Drive, Xenia, Ohio.
