Anolie L. Cody, 91, of Xenia, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Otterbein Senior Living, Lebanon. She was born December 14, 1934, in Shirley, Indiana, the daughter of Carl and Lois Baker Wardlow. She was a 1953 graduate of New Castle High School, Indiana, and attended business school. She was a member of Xenia Nazarene Church, and retired as a teacher at Xenia Nazarene Christian School after 22 years. She is survived by five children, Lisa (Charles) Garlough, Charles (Tiffany) Cody, Douglas (Karen) Cody, Thomas Cody, and Vickie (Charles) Carraher, nine grandchildren, Donald (Holly) Moore, Carly Moore (Brandon), Madeline (Ben) Dobler, Dustin (Veronica) Cody, Matthew (Emily) Cody, Tyler Carraher, Rebecca Moore, William Cody, and Gregory Brickey, eleven great-grandchildren, by numerous nieces and nephews, and many close friends, including special family, Wayne Woodard and Angela Woodard and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Lloyd “Bob” Cody, on January 18, 2013, a sister, Reba Witt, and by six brothers, Chester Macy Wardlow, Earl Frances Wardlow, Rivilo Claud Wardlow, Donald Wardlow, Lowell Wardlow, and Larry Wardlow. Anolie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11am, Monday, November 9, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St. Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10am until service time. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Xenia Nazarene Church, c/o Children’s Ministries, 1204 W. Second St., Xenia, or to Otterbein Hospice, at Otterbein.org, in her memory. Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com. Anolie was kind, compassionate and full of love and laughter. She loved caring for young children and adored her great grandchildren. As a devout woman of faith, she found great comfort in scripture study and prayer. From a young age, family time with siblings and cousins was very special. As her own family grew, she cherished any time the family spent together. She lovingly cared for her husband Bob and set a true example of God’s love. She was known as a mother, grandmother, aunt and neighbor, but to all that knew and loved her, she was not just family, but a best friend.
