Aubrey B. Woods, 82, of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 16, 2015, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 28, 1932, in Greene County, Ohio, the son of Wilber and Glada Ellen Babb Woods. He was a founding member of North Side Christian Church, and retired from KNS Sheet Metal. He was a member of the Xenia Masonic Lodge, #49, F. & A. M. and Aldora Chapter #262, O. E. S. He is survived by a daughter, Marla (Thomas) Whitacre, a son, Ronald (Rhonda) Woods, all of Xenia, four grandchildren, Shawn (Stephanie) Woods and Nicole (Jim) Hurley, all of Xenia, Scott (Heather) Whitacre, Oklahoma, and Brad (Morgaine) Whitacre, Columbus, nine great-grandchildren, Aubriana, Alexander, Tyler, Andrew, Abigail, Olivia, Gabriel, Ella, and Gavin, a sister, Pauline Silvers, Beavercreek, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary (Glen) Carter Waynesville, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dorothea (Spurgeon) Woods, on February 3, 2002, a brother, Charles J. Woods, by a granddaughter, Tara Whitacre, and by a great-granddaughter, Hailee. Aubrey will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 11am, Friday, February 20, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 9:30am Friday, until service time.
