Barbara A. Hutchison, 80, of Xenia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Soin Medical Center, Beavercreek. She was born August 6, 1936, in Beavercreek, Ohio, the daughter of Russell and Pauline Coy Wehrly. Barb spent her entire life engaged in farming, operating both a dairy and grain farm. She and her deceased husband Bob received recognition from the State of Ohio Agricultural Department for operating a "Century Farm" that had been in his family since 1897. Three or more generations of young people have participated in Eager Beavers 4-H Club that she and her husband Bob have been advisors. Throughout her life Barb influenced many youth and young adults through her work with 4-H, FFA, and the Greene County Fair. Last year marked Barb's 60th year of being a 4-H advisor, and she will be greatly missed by all who were influenced by her leadership and guidance down through the years. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Gail (Michael) Mueller, and a son and daughter-in-law, Gary (Sandra) Hutchison, all of Xenia, four grandchildren, Kylie Mueller, Kolby Mueller, Wade Hutchison, and Michael Armitage, a sister-in-law, Jan Hutchison, Lancaster, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert L. Hutchison, on October 16, 2013, a sister, Sue Wehrly, and by two brothers, Jerry Wehrly and Ted Wehrly. Graveside services will be held at 11am, April 20, at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greene County Youth Activity Fund, c/o Sheriff Gene Fischer, 120 E. Main St., Xenia, OH, 45385, for sponsorships of Greene County 4-H and FFA programs. Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com . The family would like to especially thank the doctors and staff of the ICU unit of Soin Medical Center for their round the clock care of Barb during this difficult time.
