Bernard M. Scott, 77, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born December 16, 1937, in St. Charles, Virginia, the son of McKinley and Mary Reynolds Scott. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired from Chrysler Airtemp, Dayton. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Jean (Hines) Scott, whom he married, November 23, 1962, a daughter, Sonya (Mark) Fowler, Xenia, a son, Tracy Scott (fiancée, Donna Michael), Jamestown, three grandchildren, Rachel Fowler, Heather Fowler, and Austin Scott, a sister, Inez Garrett, Dayton, a brother, Alvin Scott, Virginia, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held at 7pm, Monday, August 3, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Ronald Swiger officiating. Visitation will be held from 6pm Monday, until service time at the funeral home. Entombment will be held at the convenience of the family in Heritage Hills Cemetery Mausoleum, Springboro.
