Betty H. Anderson, 90, of Xenia, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at her residence.  She was born February 14, 1931, in Woodford County KY the daughter of Phoebe Coyle and Harry Eaves Sr.  She was a graduate of Versailles High School, attended Western Kentucky State Teachers College and the University of Kentucky.  In 1953 she married Robert Dale Anderson and moved to Xenia, his hometown.  To that union came two children, Jayne and David.   She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Xenia United Presbyterian Church.  She was an active member of the Xenia Adult Recreation and Services Center (XARSC) where she delivered Meals on Wheels for 20 years.  In 2014 she received the honor of Volunteer of the Year from XARSC.  In 2016 she was named the City of Xenia Senior Citizen of the Year.  She retired from Visual Information Institute (VII) where she was the first and last employee.  Her favorite pastimes were boating, sewing, reading, cooking and baking and gardening.  She is survived by a daughter, Jayne H. Anderson, Xenia, "adopted" sons, Tommy Bottorff, Mike Amtower, Gene Amtower and Nick Banziruk, and many nieces and nephews.  She was proceeded in death by her parents; step father, David J. Howard; her husband, Robert Dale Anderson; and by a son, David J. Anderson.  Services will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021.  Visitation from 10 to 11 am.  Memorial service starting at 11 am at Xenia United Presbyterian Church, 343 West Ankeney Mill Rd. Xenia.  Masks are required by the church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to XARSC Meals on Wheels program 338 S.
