Betty Jane (Myers) Foster, 94, of St. Petersburg, FL, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 30, 2022 at her daughter's home surrounded in love. She was born in Springfield, OH to John and Marian (McIntire) Myers. At the age of 3, after her mother's death, Betty went to live with her uncle Herbert Myers and aunt Winnifred Myers in Cedarville.  Betty worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base during WWII after which she earned her Degree in Cosmetology. She moved to Florida in 1986 from Stamford, CT after retiring from the Board of Education. In Florida, Betty was active in her community, serving on several committees and the Board of Directors for the Bahia 3 Condo Association. She was particularly proud of her contribution in helping restore, to its original grandeur, the Cedarville opera house, which was added to the National Register of Historical Places in 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, Earnest, her son Phillip and her daughter Connie. Betty is survived by her children, Jordan, Susan (Jim) Kowats, Stephen (Karin), Allen and Sarah, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Services will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, April 20, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, OH with visitation from 9:30am until service time. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
