Betty I. Gee, 85, of Xenia, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016, at her residence. She was born November 28, 1930, in Greene County, Ohio, the daughter of Marvin and Cleo Gentner Brown. She attended North Side Christian Church, and was formerly employed at Frisch's. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jessie J. Gee, two daughters, Vickie Bowles, Virginia, and Chrissy Haggard, Oklahoma City, OK,  two sons, Ralph Shinkle, Canton, and Rick Shinkle, Springfield, 11 grandchildren,  numerous great-grandchildren, a brother, William "Brownie"  (Sally) Brown, Xenia, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Thomas J. Langan, on February 16, 1992, a sister, Jeanne Adkins, and by two brothers, Robert Brown and Jimmy Brown.  Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, July 20, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Barb Schnecker officiating. Visitation will be held from 10am Wednesday, until service time. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, in her memory.
