Obituary

Betty M. Anderson, 103, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.  She was born June 7, 1918, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Russell and Ferol Smith McPherson.  She was a member of Faith Community United Methodist Church, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and was a volunteer at Greene Memorial Hospital for 35 years.  She retired as an analyst with the United States Air Force Material Command Lab (WPAFB).   She is survived by a treasured family that was her pride and joy:  two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip (Elaine) Anderson and Michael (Sherry) Anderson, all of Xenia; four grandchildren, Kirk (Diane) Anderson, Kent (Luann) Anderson, Scott (Kelley) Anderson, and Tracey (Scott) Rohrback; eight great-grandchildren, Lindsay (Jasen) Dodds, Lori (Jonathan) Durket, Rachael (Troy) Koze, Austin Anderson, Avery Anderson, Matthew Carlson, Alexander (Samantha) Carlson, and Michael Carlson; step-great grandchildren, Micah Windsor, Zach (Cara) Rohrback and Ashley Rohrback; five great-great grandchildren, Linley and Griffin Dodds, Cash and Charlie Durket, and Grady Koze; step great-great grandchildren Blaike and Adasyn Windsor, and Cora Rohrback; and by nephews and a niece.   She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence E. "Mutt" Anderson, on June 3, 2010; a sister Juanita Shade, and by two brothers, Charles E "Bud" McPherson and Lawrence A. McPherson.  A special thank you to her primary care-giver, Fran Clevenger, as well as Rosie Hatfield, Denise Henry, and Brenda Keaton for their care.  Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, at Faith Community United Methodist Church, with Pastor Greg Delaney officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Tuesday until service time.  Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Community United Methodist Church, 100 Country Club Dr., Xenia, OH 45385; or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420 in her memory.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com .
