Betty (Allen) Thayer, 94, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at her residence. She was born August 24, 1925, in Fayette County, Ohio. She was a member of Faith Community United Methodist Church, and a previous employee of Ohio Bell Telephone. She is survived by a sister, Doris Eakins, a nephew,  Michael (Brenda) Eakins, a great-niece, Amy (Geoff) Winningham, and by a great-nephew, Kyle Eakins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merton Thayer, three sisters, Maxine Verba, Ruth Allen, and Barbara Allen, and by brother-in-laws, Albert Verba and Wayne Eakins.
