Obituary

Bonnie L. Bingamon, 93, of Xenia, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015, at Liberty Nursing Center. She was born February 19, 1921, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of D. Newman and Emma (Blackburn) Tarter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Bingamon, sister Irene Tarter, sister Clara Eavers, and by a brother Ray Tarter. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Howard, Frankfort; brother Charles Tarter, Cedarville; sister Jean (Iver) Eagle, Xenia; sister Darla (Mike) Geis, Jamestown; son and daughter-in-law Charles (Rebecca) Bingamon, Xenia. Grand-daughters Leigh (Jeff) Cooper, Washington Court House; Caryl (Bill) Martin, Troy. Six grandsons: Chad, Derek, Ryan, Billy, Garret and Brandon. Seven granddaughters: Rebecca, Jessica, Erika, Hayven, Jayden, Victoria and Laylynn. Many special nieces and nephews. She and Donald operated the family farm near Jamestown for many years. They were active members of the Jamestown Presbyterian Church (USA) and were among the founding members of the Greene County Farm Bureau co-op discussion group. She was a charter member of the American Legion Post #155 ladies auxiliary and was employed in food service at Cedarville College. Services will be held at 10am Wednesday, January 7, at Jamestown Presbyterian Church (USA), 61 W. Washington St., Jamestown, with Rev. R. Michael Helling officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Tuesday at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be in Silvercreek Township Cemetery, Jamestown.
