Brian Anthony Hausfeld, 72, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at his residence. He was born August 1, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Bernard Anthony and Helen M. Reinhard Hausfeld. He graduated from Holy Family grade school, Chaminade High School, and the University of Dayton. He was a member of St. Brigid Parish where he was active on the Parish Council. He retired from Systech Environmental Corporation as a Senior Engineer/Project Manager. He was an active member of the Catholic Alumni Club, the Dayton Ski Club in his early years, was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, and was a lifetime donor to the Community Blood Center. He is survived by two sisters, Suzanne (Robert) Bosl, Xenia, and Jacquelyn (Robert) Parente, South Glastonbury, CT; a sister-in-law, MaryAnn Hausfeld; by nieces, Christine, Victoria, Jacquelyn, Monica, Adrienne, Colleen, Meghan, Margaret, Catherine, and Susan; nephews, Brendan M., Steven, Kevin, and Brendan C. and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brother, Eric Edward Hausfeld. Brian will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am, Saturday, September 2, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia, with Rev. John Krumm and Rev. Dan Myer concelebrating.
