Carl D. Creamer, 94, of Xenia, formerly of Jeffersonville and Columbus, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 21, 2018. He was born December 12, 1923, in Milledgeville, Ohio, the son of Rex and Bess Boggs Creamer. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Xenia, and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He retired as a railroad engineer. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Dorothy (Warnock) Creamer, whom he married, August 21, 1943, a son, Dale (Susan) Creamer, Brookville, a daughter, Carla (Bob) Long, Xenia, five grandchildren, Steve (Kathy) Long, Florida, Kimberly Elling, Brookville, Kregg (Beth) Creamer, Englewood, Greggory (Dianna) Hawes, Sabina, and Garry (Maggie) Hawes, Xenia, 13 great-grandchildren, Zachary (Brittney) Long, Justin Long, Kelsey Long, Devann Creamer, Tim Creamer, Sydney Creamer, Madelyn Elling, Lydia Denney, Joshua Hawes, Caleb Hawes, Carlee Hawes, Eliza Hawes, and Andrea Hawes, by numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, by a sister, Lela Whitaker, and by four brothers, Robert, James, Frank, and Jean Creamer. Carl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, September 26, at the First Church of Christ, 441 Ledbetter Rd., Xenia, with R. James "Pete" Creamer and Pastor Andrew Spencer officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville.
