Obituary

Clair Ann (Haller) Tinney, 69, of Tavares, Fla., passed away peacefully May 18, 2021, after a lengthy illness.
A Xenia, Ohio, native, Clair was born in 1952, the daughter of Kenneth W. and Annette Haller. She was a graduate of St. Brigid School and Carroll High School (Class of 1971).
Clair met her future husband, Warren D. Tinney, while both worked for ODOT in Warren County. They were married in 1979 and lived in Waynesville until retiring to Tavares in 1995. She sold Avon products for many years.
Clair enjoyed playing cards, bingo and casino excursions. She had a soft spot for kittens, puppies and hummingbirds. A member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Eustis, Fla., Clair had an active prayer life and always kept her family and friends in her prayers. Loved ones could depend on her regular phone calls.
Clair is survived by her husband, Warren; her mother, Annette; two brothers, Stephen (Doretta) Haller of Bellbrook and Kent (Mary) Haller of Xenia; two sisters, Margaret Haller (Mike Reagon) of Windsor, Colo., and Susie (John) Hayden of Rockville, Va.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Neeld Funeral Home in Xenia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Brigid in Xenia. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, 124 W. Apple St., Dayton, OH 45402, or online at stvincentdayton.org/how-to-donate/ .
