Creada L. Vance Rhoads, 85, formerly of Xenia, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Traditions of Lebanon. She was born October 2, 1941, in Wilmington, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Clarreen Wilson Conyers. Over the years, she attended several churches: North Side Christian Church, Xenia, Christ Church, Bellbrook, and Lighthouse Baptist Church, Xenia. She is survived by three daughters, Melanie Vance-Ryan, Melissa (Jeff) Darding, and Michele (Harry) Dressler, five grandchildren, Alicia (Doug) Rentz, Scott (Whitney) Darding, Christina Darding, Luke Dressler, and Erin Dressler, two sisters, Connie (Keith) Hagemeyer and Linda (Chuck) Peterson, a brother, Gary (Karen) Conyers, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Harold D. Vance, on September 5, 2011, her second husband, H. Gene Rhoads, on September 30, 2021, and by a sister, Carol Robinette. Creada's faith and following Jesus were always at the center of her life. She studied scripture and she faithfully attended Bible studies and was always an active member of the church she attended. She was a co-founder along with Marlene Labig of the Greene County Crisis Pregnancy Center that opened in 1992. Creada was compassionate and had a beautiful heart to counsel women who visited the Center. Creada had a talent for artistic things including sewing, ceramics, painting landscape art, and Swedish weaving and was good at all of them. She used her sewing talent in visiting Jerusalem to sew sashes for the dancers at the Feast of Tabernacles. Her trips to Israel were some of the highlights of her life. One of the loves of her life was her dog, a white Coton named Frosty, who she adored. Creada loved spending time with family, eating out at restaurants, loved flowers, loved animals, and she is known for loving sweets, especially Reese's. Creada will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Creada’s Life will be held at 11am, Monday, October 26, at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2040 W. Second St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10am Monday, until service time. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hope Rising Pregnancy Center, 245 S. Allison Ave., Xenia, OH, 45385, in her memory. Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com.
