Obituary

Danny M. Shawver, 65, of Xenia, loving husband, proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Soin Medical Center. He was born November 14, 1952, in Beckley, West Virginia, the son of Wyatt "Butch" and Pauline Hamilton Shawver. He attended the Ledbetter Road Church of God and was a 1970 graduate of Xenia High School. He retired as a Greene County Building inspector in 2015. He is survived by his wife, Judy M. (Wright) Shawver, whom he married July 21, 1970, four daughters, Tina (Allen) Sanders, Cindi (Tony) Pickens, and Carrie McGee, all of Xenia, and Anna (Todd) Frascone, Donnelsville, a son, Joe Shawver, Xenia, 10 grandchildren, Allen Sanders II, Joshua Nelson, Chelsea McGee, Alonna Sanders, Owen Shawver, Cheyann McGee, Michael Pickens, Anna Pickens, Ayden Frascone, and Gavin Frascone, 3 great-grandchildren, Alyonna, Matthew David, and Liam, a sister, Patty Byrd, Tennessee,  by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Daniel W. Shawver and Matthew R. Shawver, and by a sister. Danny loved his family fiercely and has received his eternal crown. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, December 23, at the Ledbetter Road Church of God, Xenia, with Rev. Mike Parks officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Friday at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. Contributions may be made to a favorite charity in his memory.
