David John Finlay, 76, of Bellbrook, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Fairmont Assisted Living. He was born February 10, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of John M. and Edith I. Beals Finlay. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving three tours of duty on the USS Intrepid Aircraft Carrier during the Vietnam War. He was a computer technician and retried from DESC. He is survived by his wife, Alice (Atkins) Finlay, whom he married, June 12, 1971, a sister, Janet (Jim) Rickhoff, New Jersey, by his close nephews, Greg (Kelly) Russell, Nolan (Danielle Katterhenry) Russell, Nathan (Kate) Russell, a niece Natalie (Travis) Reed,  many loving nieces and nephews in New Jersey, several other relatives, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister, Marilyn F. Russell. Dave will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
