Donald W. Rickard, (79), of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 12, 2015. He was born April 3, 1936, in Toledo, to Wesley William and Mabel (Caldwell) Rickard. He served as Vice President of Student Services at Cedarville University for 30 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peg" (Stockwell) Rickard, whom he married November 28, 1957, three sons, Don (Carol) Rickard, Montgomery, AL, Brian Rickard, Minneapolis, MN, Brad (Becky) Rickard, Columbus, and seven grandchildren, one great grandson, a brother, James (Joan) Rickard, California, a sister, Sharon (Charlie) Lee, Michigan, and by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a son, Neil Rickard. Visitation will be held Monday November 16, from 5-8 pm at Neeld Funeral Home on 1276 N. Detroit St. Xenia OH. After a private family graveside serve, a memorial service will be held at the James T Jeremiah Chapel at Cedarville University on Tuesday November 17 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the "Don and Peg Rickard MK Scholarship" for Cedarville University missionary students.
