Donald L. Waugh, 62, of Xenia, passed away Sunday evening, April 17, 2011, at the VA Medical Center, Dayton after a lengthy illness. He was born April 23, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio. He was a combat engineer for the U.S. Army from 1968-1971, serving two of those years in Vietnam. He later went on to become self-employed in the roofing industry for 35 years. He was a member of American Legion Post #95. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Lawrence Waugh, and by his mother, Mary Hazel Waugh. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Homer Keith Waugh and wife, Peggy, his younger sister, Edie Irene Waugh, and his twin sister, Connie Sue Martin, and husband, Glenn Martin, a nephew, Daniel Martin and niece, April McIntosh and husband Jimmy McIntosh and his great-nephew, Trenton McIntosh, and great-niece, Ava McIntosh. He is also survived by his best friend and pet, Baby the dog. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia.
