Dora Faye Morr, age 91, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2015, at Trinity Community of Beavercreek, Ohio. Beloved wife of Wayne L. Morr for 68 years, Dora is the mother of two daughters, Brenda Houser-Langlas (Ron) of Beavercreek and Nancy Pitstick (John) of Xenia. Dora has four grandchildren, Chris Houser (Heather) of Monticello, Illinois, Aaron Houser (Emily) of Xenia, Dianne Pitstick of Xenia, and David Pitstick of Centerville and four great grandchildren, Colin and Ellie Houser of Monticello, Illinois, and Lorelai and Elliott Houser of Xenia and a special family friend, Steven R. Houser of Xenia. Dora is also survived by a sister, Delores Lust (Leland) of Hammond, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Pansy Askew, and a brother, Edwin Askew. Born in Windsor, North Dakota, September 12, 1923, she grew up in North Dakota, Minnesota and Illinois. In 1947 she married Wayne L. Morr. After Wayne's career as a civil servant that took the family from coast to coast, Wayne and Dora called Xenia their home. Dora was a dietician and was employed by Hospitality Homes in Xenia for many years. After her retirement from Hospitality Home West, she was a member of Hospitality Homes Auxiliary, Xenia Adult Recreation and Services Center, and was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program. Dora was a woman with many talents and enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and cooking. She used her talents and abilities to bless the lives of others. She was an active member of East Dayton Church of the Brethren and served her church in many capacities. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for all the prayers, love, and compassion shown by many, and a very special thank you to Trinity Retirement Community staff and to Hospice of Dayton staff for Dora's care. Services will be held at 10am, Thursday, August 6, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with The Rev. Richard Shockney of East Dayton Church of the Brethren officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
