Doris L. Wiseman, 97, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Wright Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Fairborn. She was born August 6, 1926, in Cedarville, Ohio, the daughter of James and Grace Reynolds Vest. She was an active member of the New Jasper United Methodist Church and retired from the Greene County Clerk of Courts after 43 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and entertaining family and friends. All were welcome at her home. She is survived by a daughter, Deirdre (Earl) Scott, Mayer, MN, a son, Dana Wiseman, Xenia, a sister, Myrtle Snook, Cedarville, brother-in-law, Merrill Thornton, Jamestown, by numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David L. Wiseman, on November 4, 2012, by three sisters, Marjorie, Velma, and Deannie, and by three brothers, James, Paul and Donald. Doris will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11am, Monday, September 25, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10am Monday, until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Cemetery, Cedarville.
