Dorothy A. (Chenoweth) Pitzer, 83, of Xenia, passed away on November 15, 2015. She was born December 28, 1931, in New Burlington, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lawrence E. Pitzer and her son, David L. Pitzer, her mother (Martha) Edna (Curtis) Chenoweth, father, Dennis Chenoweth, brother, Donald Chenoweth, sisters Harriett Klontz and Linda Applegate. She is survived by her seven children, Vaughn (Goldie) Pitzer, Rita (Gregory) Stewart, Rose Wallen, Karen (Robert) Wade, Mark (Jodi) Pitzer, Claire Spurgeon, Joe (Susie) Pitzer, a daughter-in-law, Debra Pitzer, a brother, William (Pat) Chenoweth, all of Xenia, and by a host of extended family and friends. She was a proud grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 step- great-grandchildren, and expecting two new great-grandchildren in 2016. Services will be held at 10am, Thursday, November 19, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St. Xenia, with Elder Roger Van Hoose officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Cemetery, Cedarville. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N.
