Dr. Lazaro Oswaldo Jimenez-Pages, 77, of Beavercreek, Ohio, died peacefully on July 25, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. Born in 1949 to the late Oswaldo Jimenez-Pages and Marina Isabel Puertas, Lazaro immigrated from Cuba to the United States at a young age. He was raised in Miami and New York, before returning to Miami for college. He received his medical degree from La Universidad de Zaragoza in Zaragoza, Spain, and completed his residency in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Over 3 decades, Dr Pages helped thousands of patients over the course of his career, practicing medicine at various locations throughout Greene County. Though outwardly private, Dr. Pages was well-known to his family and close friends as a dynamic and expressive storyteller. He loved retelling stories of jump scares that he created at the office and at home. Lazaro was fiercely independent and did not believe in limitations. Often relied on for his frank, forthright approach, he will also be remembered for his sage advice and playful nature. He is notorious for saying, "Think warm," even when his teeth were chattering. Left to mourn him is his wife of many decades, Dr. Helena Duque-Pages, as well as his beloved children and many precious grandchildren. A brother, Dr. Beltran Pages, and sister, Nancy Baluja, also survive. In addition to his parents, Lazaro was preceded in death by his brother, Cristobal Puertas, and nephew, Bertrand Pages. A funeral service will be held at 3pm, on Friday, September 25th, at Ascension Church in Kettering, 2025 Woodman Dr, Kettering, OH 45420, with visitation from 2pm until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton on behalf of Dr. Lazaro Pages at https://www.ohioshospice.org/give/. Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com.
