Eleanor Theresa (Lidd) Schauman, 93, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Greene Memorial Hospital, Xenia. Eleanor was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 17, 1921 to the late Caroline (Wolek) and Charles Lidd. She was an Lieutenant in the United States Army during World War II. Eleanor worked as an RN at St. Mary's Hospital then went on to teach LPN classes at Old North High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and enjoyed reading and gardening. Eleanor also had a love for animals. She will be dearly missed.Eleanor is survived by her son, George Robert Schauman III (Karen) of Evansville, IN; daughter, Carolyn Trent (Gary) of Xenia, OH; grandchildren, Gary Trent (Lisa), Adara Schauman, Jenna Brock (Christopher) and great grandson, A.J.Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Schauman, Jr. in 1992; three brothers, Ed Lidd, Phil Lidd and Al Lidd and her parents, Caroline and Charles.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 South Green River Road, Evansville, IN 47715 with Father Bernie Etienne celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:30 am until mass time on Thursday at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
