Ellen J. Wilson, 93, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017, at Wilmington Nursing and Rehab. She was born July 10, 1923, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of John W. and Josephine Pearl Palmer Mercer. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Betty Lou, Cindy, and Debbie, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold "Toughie" Wilson, on July 12, 1998, by three sisters, Edna Nelson, Ruby Bogan, and Pauline Shine, and by seven brothers, Paul, Benny, Henry, Harley, Eldon, Russell and Warren Mercer. Ellen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
