Elmer L. Harris, 78, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at his residence. He was born May 8, 1946, in Vienna, Virginia, the son of Johnny and Sarah Jane Spencer Harris. He worked for Waste Management for 43 years, and was a member of the Eagles, Moose, and VFW. He loved Bluegrass, NASCAR, the Bengals, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary, a brother, Donald, and by two sisters, Della and Faye. He is survived by two sons, Arthur (Andrea) Harris, and Denny (Cindy) Harris, grandsons, Cameron (Makayla) Harris, Collin (Tara) Harris, and Zackary Harris, a granddaughter, Amanda Harris, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Rachel (Drew) Harris, a sister-in-law, Wilma Harris, a brother-in-law, Brady Harris, by several nieces and nephews, and by many special friends. The family would like to thank the nurses of Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. Graveside services will be held at 11am, Saturday, May 10, at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30am Saturday at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia.
