Obituary

Elmer E. Howe was born March 24, 1927 in Clinton, County, to Edwin and Alta Wright Howe. He moved to Greene County when he was nine years old. On April 18, 1947, he married Mary Ann Fudge who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were brothers, Charles "Ike" (Martha) Howe, Francis "Bud" (Dorothy) Howe, sister Martha (Don) Webster and son Edwin Howe. Survivors include son Wesley (Deb) Howe of Lima, grandsons, Brock (Amanda) Howe of Lima, Shay (Becky) Howe of Nashville, TN, two great-grandchildren, and one on the way.

Elmer worked at K.S.H. Plastics for 27 years. But farming was his true passion which he was active in for many years. He enjoyed attending the Greene County Fair, the Farm Science Review and Old Timers Day. Elmer and Mary Ann enjoyed many trips to Holmes County to watch farmers working in the fields.

He had been a member of F.F.A., a charter member of the Xenia Township Volunteer Fire Department and for many years a member of the Oldtown United Methodist Church serving on many committees and positions. Elmer was very strong in his faith.

Graveside services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, November 30, at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia, with Pastor Ken Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oldtown United Methodist Church, 1639 US Route 68 N. Xenia, OH, 45385, in his memory.
