Obituary

Elsie J. Wilson, 93, of Xenia, passed away September 22, 2017, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 1, 1924 in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Gladstone and Treva Long Shreves.  For the last six years Elsie resided at Elmcroft of Xenia.  Elsie was a long time member of Faith Community United Methodist Church.  She is survived by three daughters, Bec (Sam) Reingraber, Deb (Bob) Keller, all of Xenia, and Cindy Wilson, Seaman, Ohio, two grandchildren, Kyle Wilson Keller, Olympia, WA, and Carrie Grace Keller, Xenia, by a brother Bill (Judy) Shreves, Downers Grove, IL, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William L. "Bill" Wilson, on June 19, 2012 and by a sister, Virginia Hinders on February 26, 2013.  Sincere thanks and gratitude are extended by Elsie's family to the wonderful and compassionate caregivers at Elmcroft of Xenia, Greene Memorial Hospital, Hospitality Home East and Hospice of Dayton.  A memorial service will be held at Neeld Funeral Home at 10:00am on October 5, 2017, followed by graveside services at Greenville Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or a favorite charity in Elsie's name.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com .
