Evelyn M. Jones Harner, 103, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Xenia Health and Rehab. She was born October 3, 1917, in Greene County, Ohio, the daughter of Vernon L. and Lois E. Conklin Jones. She was a member of Oldtown United Methodist Church for 85 years, was a 4-H advisor for 25 years, and was a charter member of the Xenia Township Fire Department Auxiliary. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Paul) Hammer, Linda Haynes, all of Xenia, and Norma (Larry) Franks, Ashland, OH,  7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, by several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David J. Harner, on February 15, 1994, a son-in-law, Bill Haynes, a granddaughter, Debra Shumaker, two sisters, Betty Martin and Donna Jones, and by two brothers, Neil C. Jones and Max V. Jones. Evelyn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia, with Rev. Ken Martin officiating.
