Miss F. Margaret Neeld, 58, of 246 N. Galloway St., Xenia, died at 8:10 this morning at Hospitality Home, N. Monroe Dr.
A lifetime resident of Xenia, she was born August 28, 1911, the daughter of Ralph M. and Florence Wright Neeld. She was graduated from Xenia High School in 1929, attended the Oberlin College of Music two years and was graduated from Miami Jacobs Business College, Dayton. Miss Neeld, former member of the Xenia Business and Professional Women's Club, also was active in the National Secretaries Association. She had been employed as secretary to former Xenia School superintendents Louis Hammerle and R.J. Warner, and in recent years had been employed at Wright-Patterson AF Base and the Aldine Publishing Co. A lifetime member of the First Reformed Church for many years she had served as superintendent of the primary department and was in charge of music for the department. She belonged to the Berean Class of the church. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Dorothy J. Gaarde, of Modesto, CA, a brother, William A. Neeld of Xenia; five nieces, Miss Sally Gaarde, of Ann Arbor, MI, Mrs Nancy Nickell, Laurel, MD, Mrs Marilyn Dircksen of Garrett, IN, Mrs. Linda Acosta of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Miss Twila K. Neeld of Xenia, and six nephews, Ralph Gaarde of Modesto, Thomas, Richard W., Robert H., Bruce A.,and Dr. William K. Neeld,, all of Xenia. Services will be conducted Monday at 10:30am at the First Reformed Church with the Rev.Edward Smith and the Rev.David McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Friends may call at the Neeld Funeral Home, 106 W. Market St., 3-4, 7-9 pm Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Reformed Church, Christ Episcopal Church, or the Xenia Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
