Faye C. Flora, 87, of Xenia, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 9, 1929, in South Irvine, Kentucky, the daughter of Chester and Hattie Neace Cole. She was a very active member of North Side Christian Church, where her husband Isaac "Ike" Flora served as senior pastor for many years. She was a retired schoolteacher with Xenia Community Schools (Warner Junior High School) where she taught special education for 38 years. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family who she loved dearly. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Isaac J. Flora, her children, Sandra Flora, Xenia; Cheryl (David) Bickel, Maineville; Carolyn (Tom) Caraway, Watauga, TN; and Michael (Mary) Flora, Bridgeton, NJ; six grandchildren, Nathan (Holly) Flora, Sharla (Tim) Chinniah, Jonathan (Katie) Bickel, Sharaya (Mike) Sisk, Isaac (Sarah) Caraway, and Josiah Caraway, one chosen grandson, George Keralis, four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Flora, Kate Flora, Analise Chinniah, and Joshua Chinniah, a sister, Rhetta Parrish, Dallas, TX, by several nieces and nephews, kindred family Dave and Kay Scott, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary Gibson and Agnes Arbra. Faye will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 10am Monday, December 12, at North Side Christian Church, 733 Country Club Dr., Xenia, with Pastor Jay Russell officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
