Florence Irma Soward, 92, of Xenia, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Greenewood Manor. She was born July 30, 1925, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of August and Christophine Hoyer Weiss. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon (Terry) Lindemann, Xenia, and Connie Baugher, West Carrollton, three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald (Susan) Soward, Springfield, Dennis (Shelley) Soward, Greenville, and Steven Soward, Beavercreek, five grandchildren, Doug Soward, Angela (Steve) Buddendeck, Katie (Phillip) Forsythe, Daniel Soward, and Shaun Soward, five great-grandchildren, a sister, Elsie Beachler, Clayton, a brother, Rudy Weiss, Dayton, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Warren Keiter Soward, on January 25, 2005, and by a sister, Freida Tharp. Florence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, October 11, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
