Frances Shaw, 88, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at her residence. She was born June 25, 1928, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Almeda Ragar Miller. She was a member of Xenia Nazarene Church and retired from S.S. Kresge-KMART after 25 years employment. She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Shaw, Yellow Springs, a son, Daniel L. (Kathy) Shaw, Beavercreek, an adopted daughter, Diane Davis, Yellow Springs, five grandchildren, Jacob Shaw, Laura Shaw, Dan McGrew, Max McGrew, and Evan Davis, a great-grandson, Kian McGrew, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends, including special friends, Mary Lou Pence and Sharon Mershon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leo Shaw, on February 26, 2002, a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy (Dan) McGrew, two sisters, Jennie Belle Hasting and Laura Miller, and by two brothers, James Miller and Harry Miller, Jr. Frances will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, July 6, at Xenia Nazarene Church, with Rev. Mark Atherton officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Tuesday at the church.
