Francis H. "Frank" McKay, 83, of Wilmington, passed awayTuesday, March 17, 2026, at Greene Memorial Hospital. He was born July 23, 1942, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Albert E. and Ada Mills McKay. He was a graduate of Kingman High School, a member of the Spring Valley Global Methodist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Xenia Masonic Lodge, # 49, F. & A. M. (#622 Cedarville, and Jamestown). He is survived by a son, Timothy (Julie) McKay, son-in-law, Joshua Campbell, two granddaughters, Nicole Elizabeth (James) Barnhart and Madison Marie McKay, a great-grandson, Cohen Barnhart, great granddaughter Emily Barnhart, great-great grandson Jordan Miller and great-great granddaughter Ellie Miller, a sister, Rosalie E. (Rev. John, Jr.) Beers, a brother-in-law, Greg (Linda) Cross, numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Judith Ann "Judy" (Cross) McKay, an infant daughter, Heather McKay, daughter, Krista McKay-Campbell, a great-granddaughter, Parker Barnhart, sisters, Lois (Duane) Ervin, Jeannette (Vernon) Musser, Rita Jo (John) Howell, and by three brothers, Wilbur E. (Ada) McKay, and Rev. Robert C. (Anna Mae) McKay, and Donald R. "Dick" (Joan) McKay. Frank will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 10am, Monday, March 30, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Darlene Hensley officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Sunday, March 29, at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Burlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greene County Humane Society, 187 Bellbrook Ave., Xenia, OH, 45385, or to the Ohio Masonic Home, 2655 W.
