Francis Eugene "Gene" Stephens, 77, of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 1, 2024. He was born January 18, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Elmer and Evelyn Dudley Stephens. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Xenia, and retired as a railman with Norfolk Southern. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Christina "Chris" Stephens, whom he married, June 6, 1971, a daughter, Elizabeth Gosser, a son, Tony (Michele) Stephens, daughter-in-law, Bobi Stephens, grandchildren, Alyssa Houser, Sarah Stephens, Dax Gosser, Kaylynn Stephens and Aaron "Dane" Gosser, great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Olive and Roman, a sister-in-law Priscilla Stephens, two sisters, Janet (Mike) Pettit and Debbie Stephens, a brother Bob (Cindy) Stephens, and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Fred Stephens, and a son Scott Stephens.  Gene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Gene's Life will be held at 11am, Wednesday, April 10, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Xenia. A viewing will be held before the service at 10am.
