Harley L. Hilderbrandt, 89, of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Hospitality Home East. He was born September 4, 1925, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Sampson and Hulda McCoy Hilderbrandt. He was a member of Xenia Nazarene Church and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He was involved with the Xenia Adult Recreation and Services Center and retired from DAY-HIO Products. He is survived by two daughters, Angela (Bill) Faris, Jamestown, and Anita (Gary) Massengale, Xenia, a son, Roger (Betty) Hilderbrandt, Xenia, 6 grandchildren, Amy (Dale) Conley, Rebecca Day, Joseph (Trisha) Faris, Emily (Dr. Stephen) Hunter, John (Carla) Massengale, and Maggie Hilderbrandt, 14 great-grandchildren, Hannah Conley, Quentin Conley, Brock Conley, Kody (Abby) Conley, Bryce Day, Brody Day, Kelsey Faris, Josie Faris, Blake Faris, Miriam Hunter, Matthew Hunter, Michael Hunter, Jacob Massengale, and Paisley Schroeder, a sister-in-law, Irene Hilderbrandt, by numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wanda B. (Ault) Hilderbrandt, on October 13, 2011, by a great-granddaughter, Poppy Louise Hunter, by four sisters, Violet Hilderbrandt, Aretta Augustus, Alice Earley, and Genavee Lewis, and by three brothers, Ora Hilderbrandt, Chester Hilderbrandt, and Raymond Hilderbrandt. Harley will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 10am, Friday, September 11, at Xenia Nazarene Church, 1204 W. Second St., Xenia, with Rev. Mark Atherton officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
