Harold Lee Fawley, 83, of Xenia, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at Greene Memorial Hospital. He was born January 26, 1934, in Jamestown, Ohio, the son of Orville A. and Myrtle Sturgeon Fawley. He was a 1953 graduate of Xenia Central High School, and retired from D.P. & L. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Simason) Fawley, whom he married, December 11, 1953, a daughter, Jane (Michael) McClelland, a son, Michael Fawley, a daughter-in-law, Lori Fawley, all of Xenia, four grandchildren, Jessi (James) Freeman, Atlanta, GA, Emily (Josh) Anders, Jamestown, Eliza Fawley (John Collins), Riverside, and Jonathan Fawley, Columbus, five great-grandchildren, Wheeler, MacKenzie, Wyatt, Ryker, and Ella Rose, a brother, Leon Fawley, Xenia, by numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Bev Wyen, Springfield, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, nine sisters, Phyllis Johnson, Marjorie Fawley, Willa Ruth Fawley, Helen Gill, Aletha Edwards Segraves, Sue Palmer, Maxine Storey, Laura Linkhart, and Mary Stollings Anderson, and by a brother, George Fawley. Harold will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He looked forward to the breakfasts at McDonald's with his DP&L buddies and the Tuesday cards games with family and friends. He lived for the OSU Football games. Memorial services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, July 8, at AHOP, 282 Stelton Rd., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 11am Saturday, until service time at the church.
