Harold Burton "H.B." Kitts, Jr., 84, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 27, 1931, in Richlands, Virginia, the son of Harold Burton and Hazel Stamper Kitts, Sr. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Lita F. "Floreta" (Steele) Kitts, whom he married, June 6, 1953, two daughters, Marcella "Lynn" Penn, Xenia, and Cheryl Ann (Jerry) Jones, Newport News, VA, 7 grandchildren, Melissa Penn, Xenia, Zachariah (Jennifer) Dean, Xenia, Malachi (Ashley) Dean, West Carrollton, Heather (Matt) Austin, Xenia, Benjamin Penn, Xenia, Kristen (Matt) Tamplin, Jamestown, and Caleb (Kari) Dean, Xenia, 12 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Dennis R. (Carol) Kitts, and Douglas R. (Sharon) Kitts, all of Richlands, VA, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister, Charlotte Lee Kitts. H.B. will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, May 18, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Xenia, with Pastor Malachi Dean officiating. Visitation will be held from 10am Wednesday, until service time at the church. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
