Helen Clark Hendrickson, 94, of Xenia, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017, at Brookdale Fox Run of Enon. She was born on January 4, 1923, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Francis H. and Margaret Teeters Clark. A life-long resident of Greene County, she graduated from The Ohio State University in 1943, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi social sorority. Upon moving to Xenia, she and her husband, Robert D. Hendrickson, M.D., joined the Westminster Presbyterian Church in 1948 and remained members until their deaths. She was active in many of the church's activities and particularly enjoyed belonging to the Ruth Circle. She was also a member of the Greene County Medical Society Auxiliary, the Greene Memorial Hospital Women's Auxiliary, and the Woman's Club of Xenia. She also gave generously of her time to many civic organizations in Xenia. She is survived by a daughter, Margee (Larry) Lewis, Cincinnati, two sons, David (Jean) Hendrickson, Birmingham, AL, and Don (Pamela) Hendrickson, Dayton, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces, a nephew, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Paul Clark. Helen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, August 26, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 990 Old Springfield Pike, Xenia, with Rev. Melissa Tidwell officiating. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Silvercreek Cemetery, Jamestown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church in her memory. The family wishes to thank the staff of Brookdale Fox Run for the excellent care they provided Helen over the past seven and a half years, and particularly during her final illness.
