Obituary

Helen Huff Long, 98, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Hospice of Dayton.  She was born February 10, 1919, in Churchville, VA, to Charles A. and Roberta Dunlap Huff and moved to Ohio at the age of 2 years.

She retired from the Dayton Municipal Court bailiff's office.  She enjoyed her retirement for many years, especially golfing at The Mound golf course in Miamisburg, Ohio.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her loving daughter Mary (Collins) Jones and son-in-law Stan Garrett.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Jean Myers, Nell Ford Showalter, and Kathleen (Kate) Huff, as well as three brothers Charles A. Huff, Harvey Lee Huff, and Robert Huff.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Monday, May 1, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia.  Private graveside services will be held by the family in Spring Valley Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH, 45420, in her memory.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com.
