Henry S. "Sonny" Kersey, Jr., 82, of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, April 14, 2017, at Greene Memorial Hospital. He was born May 17, 1934, in Spring Valley, Ohio, the son of Henry S., Sr., and Ruth A. Benson Kersey. He was a member of the Christian Baptist Church of God, Spring Valley.  He is survived by two sisters, Patricia Johnson, Waynesville, and Louise Holton, Spring Valley, two brothers, Stanley (Connie) Kersey, Huber Heights, and David Wayne (Becky) Kersey, Jamestown, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends and housemates; Teddy Musselman and Phillip Griffey, and Jim Kuntz, III, as well as his special and loving staff at his Tennessee Group Home; Chris Davies, Jackie Sherman, Morgan Price, Joe Myers, and Brandon Proffitt. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers-in-law, Lani Holton and Dean Johnson.  Services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, April 19, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Pastor Andy Spencer officiating. Visitation will be held from 10am Wednesday, until service time. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery.
