Irene E. Hilderbrandt, 97, of Xenia, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, at Meadowbrook Care Center, Montgomery, Ohio. She was born July 23, 1920, in Lexington, Virginia, the daughter of Dora and Carrie Irvine Harlow. She was a former member of Xenia Nazarene Church. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia (John) Knapik, Xenia, Brenda Wolfe, Fairborn, and Keri (Marc) Thomas, Mason, five grandchildren, Scott R. (Alice) Hughes, Xenia, Kathy Webb, Wilmington, Carolyn (Jeremey) Grisso, West Milton, Heather (Jason) Demmitt, New Carlisle, and Christopher Wolfe, Kentucky, eight great-grandchildren, Nathan (Erica) Webb, Jessee Hughes, Cody Ann Hughes, Valerie (Jason) Havens, Lacie Metz, Shelbi Grisso, Katlyn Grisso, and Grace Grisso, eight great-great-grandchildren, Alliyah Webb, Alexis Rose Webb, Carter Webb, Kyler Webb, Liam Havens, Frankie Nicole Havens, Madison Demmitt, and Taylor Demmitt, several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond A. Hilderbrandt, on July 20, 2011, a son and daughter-in-law, Terry L. (Connie) Hilderbrandt, son-in-law, Richard Wolfe, five sisters, Mabel Sanborn, Beulah Genter, Viola Blake, Ethel Muterspaw, and Mildred Stephens, two step-sisters, Mabel Harlow and Opal Reakem, eight brothers, John Harlow, Carlile "Curly" Harlow, Paul Harlow, Ralph Harlow, Thomas Harlow, Raymond Harlow, Kenneth B. Harlow, and Ernie Harlow, and by four step-brothers, Herb, Elvin, Carl and Wilbur Earley. Irene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 10am, Friday, February 23, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
