James Delbert Pierson, Jr., 96, of Xenia, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at Shawnee Estates. He was born September 28, 1929, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of James Delbert and Faye G. Conner Pierson. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Xenia, and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from WPAFB (AFLC) in 1981, and after retirement he enjoyed running and working outside on his lawn. He loved spending time with his family and cherished his time helping his in-laws on the farm. He leaves behind many loved ones who will miss him dearly including; two sons, Mark (Paula) Pierson and Robert (Teresa) Pierson, grandchildren, Tawnya (Travis) Baise, Philip (Olivia) Pierson, Sarah (Nathaniel) Ankeney, Adam (Angel) Pierson, and Michael Pierson, great-grandchildren, Briana (Ryan) Creamer, Brody (Rachel) Baise, Brooke (Uri) Montoya, Korben Pierson, Marina Ankeney, Miranda Pierson, Dakota Pierson, Madison Pierson, Sierra Pierson, Wyatt, Destiny, Kiera and Kelsey, great-great-grandchildren, Tinsley and Maverick Creamer, sisters, Mabel (Jimmie) Sullivan, and Mary Molitor, a brother-in-law, Steve (Winnie) Jacks, several nieces and nephews, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Patricia A. (Goings) Pierson, and by a son, Jeffrey Pierson. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, March 23, in Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville.
