James H. "Jim" Pitstick, 90, of Cedarville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at his residence. He was born May 6, 1932, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, the son of Raymond and Gertrude (Bittner) Pitstick. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Pamela Pitstick, a son-in-law, David Purdin, five grandchildren, Amy (Greg) Grooms, Brian (Candice) Purdin, Chad (Jennifer) Pitstick, Brigham Pitstick, and Natasha (AJ) Wildermuth, ten great-grandchildren, Josie, Owen, and Noah Grooms, Kaylynn and Kiley Kenekham, Brody and Karley Pitstick, and Reecie, Ava, and Gretchen Wildermuth, a sister-in-law, Bettyann Childers, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gladys V. Pitstick, on December 30, 2021, a daughter, Sandra K. Purdin, a son, Wayne Pitstick, a son-in-law, Joe Purdin, and by four brothers: Bob, Bill, Max and Don. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in North Cemetery, Cedarville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity in his memory.
