Janice C. (DeWine) O'Connor, 96, of Xenia, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at Traditions of Beavercreek. She was born December 30, 1926, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, the daughter of Dennis and Fern Wagner DeWine along with siblings Kathryn (Johnson) DeWine, Thomas DeWine, and Phyllis (DeWine) Pauley.  After the early passing of her mother, Fern, her father married Nora (Meyer) DeWine, mother of Rodney, Richard, and William.  She was a lifelong member of St. Brigid Church.   She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael (Patricia) O'Connor, Chesapeake, VA, Mark (Lu) O'Connor, Woodstock, GA, Rob O'Connor, San Antonio, TX, and Thomas (Dawn) O'Connor, Mason, OH, five grandchildren, Sean (Carissa) O'Connor, Colin O'Connor, Katie (Martin) Plazyk, Molly (Todd) Locke, and Mark O'Connor, great-grandchildren, Alex O'Connor, Charles Plazyk, and Juliet Locke, a sister-in-law, Nancy O'Connor, Xenia, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Maurice "Marty" O'Connor, on April 17, 2012, and all of her siblings. She was a nurse in Greene County for over 50 years and touched the lives of so many with her care.  Janice will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am, Friday, March 24, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd, Xenia, with Fr. Michael Hollaran officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Thursday at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
