Jean Marjorie
Breckenridge
September 5, 1923 – January 14, 2020
Jean Marjorie (Paul) Breckenridge entered this world on September 5, 1923 and departed to be with the Savior she loved and served on January 14, 2020. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Mary Etta (Flannigan) and William Alexander Paul. Jean was the third of three children. Jean married John Charles Breckenridge on April 28, 1945. They were married 68 years. Jean served many years teaching children in Sunday School, Children's Church and Children's Choir. She was happiest when her family was together. She loved entertaining guests in her home, cooking, sewing and reading. Her children remember that, even though the location was constantly moving, home was always where they were living because Mom was there. Jean is survived by three children, Joy (Larry) Barron of Towanda, Kansas; John Jay (Mary) Breckenridge of Xenia, Ohio; and James (Jami) Breckenridge of Honolulu, Hawaii; six grandchildren, John (Lori) Barron of Westerville, Ohio; James (Therese) Barron if Beijing, China; Amanda and Andrew Breckenridge of Xenia, Ohio; Joshua Breckenridge of Cleveland, Ohio; Janet Breckenridge of Honolulu, Hawaii; and seven great-grandchildren, Emily, Kate and Lauren Barron of Westerville, Ohio and Clark, Zoe, Molly and Paige Barron of Beijing, China. Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 18, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, Ohio with Chaplain James Breckenridge officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. Saturday, until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the John C. Breckenridge Memorial, Account # 013287-016, Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE), P.O. Box 8585, Harrisburg, PA, 17105-8585, for the purchase of Bibles and Bible study materials for pastors in Asia. Condolences may be made to the family at www.NeeldFuneralHome.com.
