Joan E. Greenwald, 91, of Xenia, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017, at her residence. She was born November 14, 1925, in Logan County, Ohio, the daughter of John R. and Celestine Lorton Huber. She was a member of Oldtown United Methodist Church, and retired as secretary of Eavey's Wholesale and Super Valu. She is survived by a son, Steven Greenwald, Xenia, two grandchildren, Robert J. (Collette) Greenwald, New Paris, and Martin Greenwald, Huber Heights, three great-grandchildren, Dustin (Brittany) Greenwald, Cailee Greenwald, and Zachary Greenwald, a great-great-grandson, Conner Greenwald, all of West Milton, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband, Robert D. Greenwald, on June 7, 2012. Joan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 2pm, Monday, September 25, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Ken Martin officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30pm Monday until service time. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
