John William "Bill" McNamee, 84, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born January 26, 1938, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of John Robert and Edna Jack McNamee. He was a graduate of St. Brigid High School, a member of St. Brigid Church and the Xenia Elks Lodge #668, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Delco Moraine and Twist, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Frances "Peggy" (Gearon) McNamee, whom he married, June 6, 1964, children, Julie (Billy) Stillwell, Hampton, VA, Amy McNamee, Xenia, John Robert McNamee, Dayton, grandchildren: Benjamin Mardis, Gearon and Madelon Stillwell, Darick, Kyle and Megan Miller, Paige Trainer and Taylor McNamee, a sister, Jean Enxing, Nashua, NH, a brother, Gerald "Jerry" (Mary Anne) McNamee, Pikeville, KY, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers, Hugh McNamee and Charles R. McNamee. Bill enjoyed golfing and University of Dayton basketball.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial mass will be held at a 11am, Friday, May 20, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia, OH, with Fr. Andrew Cordonnier officiating.
