Obituary

John W. "Bill" Robinette, 93, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at his residence. He was born January 26, 1924, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Herman and Phyllis Hite-Bergum Robinette, Sr. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving in the European Theater with the 410th Bomber Group as an airplane nosegunner. He was formerly employed at Kroehler Furniture and the Beavercreek City Schools. He is survived by a son, John "Ed" (Becky) Robinette, Jr., Xenia, grandchildren, Amber Robinette, Angelisa Palmer, great-grandchildren, Maddie, Patrick, Kate, two sisters, Evelyn Rogers and Phyllis Nickoson, both of Xenia, a brother-in-law, Tom (Pat) Silcott, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Thelma L. (Silcott) Robinette, on October 10, 2017, and by a brother, Herman Robinette, Jr. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
